One of the most difficult undertakings that pet parents can experience is saying goodbye to our beloved fur babies when their time comes. Pet culture has lovingly adopted the phrase “crossing the rainbow bridge” from a similarly titled poem penned in the 80’s by Edna Clyne-Rekhy, an 82-year-old artist from Scotland. Every year on August 28th we celebrate the lives and mourn the passing of our beloved pets who’ve crossed over and are waiting for us on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
