John Pennington

John began his career in animal welfare in 2019 as a kennel attendant at a doggie daycare. Through his work in the kennels, John was allowed to dabble in some light medical care for boarded pets, which sparked his interest in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. In 2020, John was hired at a local hospital as an assistant, where he learned the ropes and increased his skills until he rose to the position that turned out to be his true calling: Veterinary Technician. While he doesn’t currently have any pets, John takes every opportunity to care for each patient in the clinic as if they were his own.

Kirsten started her veterinary career in 2011 by volunteering at an emergency clinic in Ecuador during her summer vacation until 2016, when she was officially hired as a veterinary assistant at a hospital in Ecuador. In 2018, she completed the veterinary assistance program at Ocean County College and worked toward becoming a veterinary technician specializing in dental cleanings. In 2022, she graduated with a bachelor’s in animal science and a minor in pre-vet from Rutgers and was hired to join WVC’s team of technicians.

Tony began his career as a Kennel Attendant at Redbank Veterinary Hospital. At RBVH, Tony learned crucial skills at a fast pace and rose through the ranks to become a veterinary technician. After over a decade of experience in internal medicine, critical care, ER, and exotic care, Tony found his specialty in surgery. In 2018, vetmed yielded even more happiness for Tony when he met another veterinary technician, Amy Georgy. They quickly came to find that they made as formidable a team in the operating room as they would in life and made their way to the altar in 2020.

After earning her certificate as a Veterinary Assistant in 2014, Amy quickly began learning the ins and outs of veterinary medicine. She worked as a receptionist, a veterinary assistant, and a vet tech until eventually earning a position as a surgical technician at a bustling and prestigious emergency hospital. In 2018, the field of veterinary medicine yielded even more happiness for Amy when she met another veterinary technician on the job: Tony Diaz. They quickly came to find that they made as formidable a team in the operating room as they would in life and made their way to the altar in 2020.

Stacie Jankauskas started her career in 2012 from the bottom up, working as a kennel attendant for a prominent kennel in Jackson, NJ, until becoming a Veterinary Technician and joining the vet tech team at Ocean County Vet Hospital. Later, Stacie found her calling as a specialty technician in the dermatology department at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, where she worked for four years. In 2021, Stacie was hired as a Veterinary Technician for WVC, where she quickly earned the nickname “Derm-Diva” due to her extensive knowledge and experience with specialty dermatology cases.

Courtney started her career in the veterinary field in 2002 at 19 and knew immediately that she’d found her calling. She quickly earned her certification as a Veterinary Technician. She joined the vet tech team at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, where she spent the next 14 years building a reputation for herself, eventually becoming the lead supervisor for the surgery/recovery department. In 2021, Courtney was hired as the Hospital Administrator for WVC bringing with her years of big hospital experience, veterinary knowledge, and passion for compassionate quality animal care.

Ian McAndrew began working with animals in 2010 as a kennel tech for VCA Toms River while earning his NJ Animal Control Officers certification. In 2011 he was hired to be the full-time Animal Control Officer by The East Windsor Police Dept. In 2012 began a new adventure as an Animal Law Enforcement Officer for the Humane Society of the Pikes Region in Colorado Springs, CO, and became an Animal Cruelty Investigator serving Colorado Springs and all of El Paso County, CO. In 2022 Lan was hired by WVC as a Veterinary Assistant until 2023 when he became a CSR where he also handled the clinic’s marketing and social media.
Natasha Bennett

Natasha fell in love with caring for animals as a child when she began volunteering at local shelters. She continued volunteer work through her teens until she was hired at PetSmart at age 18. She pulled double duty and volunteered to take care of the rescue cats on display while she continued to work and learn there for two more years until she made the leap into vet med. In 2021 Natasha was hired at Ocean County Vet Hospital as a customer service representative where she learned all the skills necessary for her new eventual position here at WVC.

Originally hailing from Arizona, Brittany knew early on in life that she wanted to work with animals and took every opportunity that she could make for herself to learn and grow in the vet med community. In 2021 Brittany got her first job as a vet assistant and soon gained certification through Animal Behavior College later that year. Shortly after earning her certification Brittany was promoted to Veterinary Technician at her local hospital. Brittany joined WVC in 2022 and has been an invaluable asset in both the treatment and pharmacy areas of the clinic.

Carol is a Pennsylvania native from Bethlehem, PA. Carol took every opportunity from an early age to fulfill her love of riding horses. From age 4 through her early adult years, Carol gained on-the-job experience until she was secure enough to own and run her own boarding facility, where she could return the same opportunities to the youth in her community. Eventually, Carol turned her energy toward vet medicine and in 2023, became a member of the Whiting Veterinary family as a customer service representative.

Dr. Cynthia Willems graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Public Health from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 2014. During her training, she spent her summers studying infectious diseases in wildlife both in the tri-state area and abroad in Southeast Asia. Dr. Willems provided WVC with services as a relief veterinarian for a year before accepting a position as a full-time associate.

Dr. Adams graduated from North Carolina College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and practiced in South Orange County, California. for over 19 years. Dr. Adams’ passion lies in general practice veterinary medicine, which compelled her to pursue and achieve board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline practice in 2012. ABVP Diplomates are held in high esteem as they are an elite group of only 900 highly trained veterinarians worldwide. In addition to her professional accolades, Dr. Adams is also a past recipient of the IAMS and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society’s Award.

Dr. Meghan Knox is a Jersey Shore native. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, in 2010. She completed her DVM degree at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Massachusetts in May 2014. Dr. Knox is affiliated with the American Veterinary Medicine Association (AVMA), the New Jersey Veterinary Medicine Association (NJVMA), and the Jersey Shore Veterinary Medicine Association (JSVMA). She provided relief services throughout Ocean and Monmouth County until 2023 when she accepted an associate position at WVC.
